Activists of BSNL Employees Union (BSNLEU) and employees of national federation of telecom BSNL started a three-day dharna in front of the telecom general manager's office.

The united forum of unions, demanding immediate settlement of pending demands, has given a nationwide call for the demonstration.

Addressing the protesters, district secretary BSNLEU, Ludhiana Balwinder Singh said, the management of BSNL is deliberately denying their justified demands.

“The management is curtailing the various facilities extended to the staff one by one. Leave Travel Concession (LTC) has been frozen, facility of fixed medical allowance has been withdrawn,” he said.

He demanded immediate restoration of LTC and medical facility and threatened to intensify the struggle if their demands were not met.
