Indecent pictures uploaded online leave coloniser, woman embarrassed

Indecent and morphed pictures of a high-profile businessman and a woman with derogatory comments have left the families harassed and the police in tizzy.

An unidentified person uploaded morphed pictures of city-based coloniser Mahesh Goyal, owner of Janpath Estate and a woman who is a resident of Sarabha Nagar.

The pictures have been captioned with derogatory comments followed by a concocted a story of alleged relations between the two.

The photos that went viral on social networking sites have not only defamed the duo but have led to undue harassment of the families.

The incident came to light when Mahesh's brother Pawan Goyal was informed about the pictures by his friend Pradeep Aggarwal, who informed that someone had uploaded pictures of Mahesh and the woman with derogatory and defamatory remarks that said the woman had demanded Rs. 35 crore from Mahesh Goyal to keep mum about their relationship.

Irked by the rumours on social networking sites, Pawan Goyal and the woman lodged a joint complaint with the police commissioner.
Taking swift action, police commissioner Paramjit Singh Gill marked an inquiry to additional deputy commissioner of police (Crime) Harmohan Singh Sandhu. The Focal Point police also registered a case under section 500, 501 of IPC and section 66 (1) of IT Act 2000 against unidentified accused.
