A resident of Gobindgarh village has been booked for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl in Sahnewal area.

The accused has been identified as Pankaj Kumar, who runs a confectionary shop.

In his complaint, father of victim, who is also a resident of Gobindgarh village near Sahnewal, alleged that when his daughter was alone at home, Pankaj entered the house and molested his daughter.

When she raised an alarm, the accused fled the house. Later, when he reached home, his daughter narrated the matter to him.

He then approached Pankaj, who threatened him with dire consequences if he sounded the police, he further alleged.

However, he visited the Sahnewal station and lodged a complaint under sections 354-A (sexual harassment) and 451 (house-trespass in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The accused is at large.
