Despite claims of the municipal corporation of conducting regular fogging across the city, there seems to be no slump in new dengue cases.

A total of seven more new cases were reported here on Friday. Out of the four cases from the district, three patients are from Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar and Pakhowal Road, while one patient is from Mullanpur.

The patients are under treatment at different city hospitals. The other patients are from Fatehgarh Sahib, Bathinda and Hoshiarpur each.

A total of 62 cases have been reported this year from various city hospitals. Out of 62 cases, 27 patients are from Ludhiana.

District epidemiologist Dr Anil Verma said they were conducting survey of areas where dengue cases were being reported.

Meanwhile, according to residents, fogging was not being conducted in a proper way. Dr Verma also said MC should ensure fogging was done regularly across the city.
