Pet grooming salon and spa

A pet grooming salon and spa, Scoopy Scrub provides pet styling and colouring in addition to the regular services. “Every breed has a particular style and we groom them accordingly. Our dog colours are safe and last upto 3 washes,” says Sanjeev Kumar, co-founder. They also provide home services, which include bath, trimming and massages. The salon specialises in other pets as well, including cats, rabbits, hamsters and birds. They organise weekend retreats for pets and pets’ parents to get-together and have fun. “The whole idea is to let parents interact and give pets a chance to indulge in games and sports,” concludes Kumar.

An all-women facility, Whatspup offers dog grooming, walking and training facilities. Pet owners can avail various treatments at the centre, or even opt for their doorstep services. “Depending on their behaviour, some dogs might not be comfortable with travelling in cars, so we send our trainers and groomers to the client’s house,” says Rukmani Singh, co-founder. One thing that Singh does not advocate is dog colouring. “I feel that even the dog wouldn’t want to be coloured. Moreover, colours are not safe for them,” she says.

Not just kids, even pets have a day-care facility

A pet boarding and day-care facility, Cuddle Inn is where you can leave your pets without having to rely on friends and neighbours while you are out. The family-owned facility accommodates only cats and dogs, which are given personalised attention. “We know our pets’ behaviour, medical history, eating habits and so on, as most of our clients are regular. We give them timely updates and also schedule video calls so that parents can see their pets,” says Yogesh Potaliya, founder. They also provide basic grooming services such as nail and hair cut, training, and baths.

Pick up and drop facilities

Day-boarding, training, grooming and clinic are some of the facilities offered at Pet Lovers Hut. They also provide pick-and-drop service for your pets in case you are unable to drive them to the facility. “We have designated routes, our cars are air-conditioned and our drivers and trainers are experienced to handle dogs during the ride,” says Kuldeep Chauhan, founder. They offer basic, advanced and guard training to the dogs, depending on the requirement of the owner. “We train guard dogs only for security purposes of farmhouses, not households,” informs Chauhan. They have a lawn, kennels as well as a swimming pool for dogs. “We also celebrate birthdays on owners’ request,” says Chauhan.

An open area salon

A pet salon that operates in a big, open area instead of cramped rooms, Pooch Mate provides complete grooming and care for your dogs. “We give breed-standard grooming that suits the requirement of the dogs. Shampoos and other treatments are given only after a thorough assessment of the dog,” says Preeti Sood, founder. They also provide tick baths, coconut oil massages and de-shedding treatments.

Although the salon does not have a day-boarding facility, they do have the provision to accommodate one dog at a time. “We know the habits and behavior of the dogs we groom, so if the dog parent wants, we take them in between 10am and 6:30pm,” informs Sood.
