What if you could get the Eiffel Tower in your living room or a plant that you didn’t need to water? Now, you can dress up your walls with decal clocks that are fun, colourful and come in different designs.

Get rid of those boring wall clocks and opt for 3D mirror clocks with Roman numerals, quaint lamp-posts, butterflies, and if you like mush, big red hearts.

Arunaday Basu, 26, a web developer from Pune bought a black stick on clock shaped like wrist-watch a few months back. “We had an old wrist watch-shaped clock in my house when I was a child. When I moved to Pune, I decided to get something similar. I purchased a modernised version of it — a sleek, linear band with a simple dial,” he says.

These decal clocks come as DIY décor kits containing the sticker – vinyl with a matte or glossy finish – centre dial, the hour, minute and second hands and batteries. “Youngsters these days love to experiment with home décor and decal clocks let them do just that. They are colourful, functional and pocket-friendly and make for great wall accessories too,” says Dipti Pathak, 33, co-founder of Deewarist, a Pune-based online shopping portal.

The clock decals can be easily customised like this religious motif design. (Impressive Art work)

These decals can also be customised. Mumbai-based interior designer, Rajiv Thakkar, 43, claims that he has been getting many requests for customised clock decals. “They want to add a personal touch to the designs. I recently designed a clock that had religious motifs of Om and Ganesha on it instead of numericals,” he says.
