The McLaren Formula 1 team's boss Martin Whitmarsh has denied a split with engine supplier Mercedes-Benz after the British team having to start paying for the supply of engines from the German car manufacturer from 2013.
British newspaper The Daily Mail quoted Whitmarsh in an
interview that had been conducted before last Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
McLaren had been rumoured to be pursuing a partnership with Honda that was rumoured to be interested in an F1 return in 2014 following the implementation of new engine regulations.
Mercedes-Benz has been supplying McLaren since 1995 and has won three drivers' titles and a constructors' title during that time.
