Rajat Kapoor returns with Sanjai Mishra-starrer Ankhon Dekhi.

With films like Mithya, Bheja Fry and Raghu Romeo in his kitty, we expect a certain class of wit and  intelligence from a movie helmed by Rajat Kapoor. And the film perfectly meets those expectations.

Ankhon Dekhi is an awesome experience that makes you laugh and think about life, both simultaneously, throughout the movie.

The story revolves around a man (Raje Babu, played by Sanjai Mishra) whose daughter has a lover and the whole family gangs up against the boy. After meeting the guy, Raje realises that he is not as bad as others portrayed him. Thereafter, he embarks on a mission of discovering his life.

The director's expertise makes Ankhon Dekhi a wonderful experience. Especially, the portrayal of lower-middle-class family dynamics showcases the smallest of details that a perfect director takes care of. Rafey Mehmood's cinematography beautifully captures the charm of old Delhi while Rajat Kapoor's direction wins your heart.

Sanjay Mishra proves his mettle over and above the simple comedian we have seen in him till date. Rajat Kapoor, Namit Das, Seema Pahwa, Brijendra Kala and Manu Rishi Chaddha excel in their talents and provide the perfect support to the lead character played by Sanjai. Ranvir Shorey is also seen in the film, only for a fraction of seconds where he appears as a tourist in Old Delhi.

Watch Ankhon Dekhi for the awesome and rare experience of a simple story balancing meaningful and entertaining cinema.
