Settlers of Catan is one of the hottest board games internationally

1. Taboo: A word game suitable for parties and family gatherings. The player has to enable his partner to guess the word without using clues from a specified list.

2. Scattergories: A creative-thinking, category-based party game. To score points, one must uniquely name objects within a set of categories, given an initial letter.

3. Fungish: A time-bound game, players must find and play tiles on the easel to get fellow players to guess as many words on a card as they can.

4. Word on the Street: A tug of war of sorts, with letters, players – individually or in teams – try to claim letter tiles from the board.

6. Settler of Catan: A relatively new game developed in 1995, this trading strategy-based game sees players assume the roles of settlers, each attempting to develop holdings while trading resources.
