A poem by Tyler Knott Gregson

Over the last couple of years, poetry on Instagram has become really popular. ‘Instapoets’ have even landed book deals. Here are 5 international poets on Instagram whose feed is full of great poems:

1) Tyler Knott Gregson (303k followers)

This American poet and photographer’s Instagram feed is positively dreamy. Sentimental poetry (often handwritten) on varied backgrounds — pictures, checkered paper, and torn and faded paper.

2) RM Drake (1.6m followers)

Romantic poetry on a minimalist background. The Miami-based writer has seven books to his name, and one more, Broken Flowers, slated to launch later this year.

3) Atticus (270k followers)

People get tattoos of his poetry. Enough said.

4) Lang Leav (274k followers)

Leav had two best-selling books out prior to taking to Instagram in the last couple of years. So while not exactly an Instapoet, follow her on the platform for the sheer beauty of her words. Her poetry is widely loved for the emotions it evokes: of love, longing and loss. Her fourth collection of poems, The Universe of Us, will launch this month

5) Michael Faudet (97.3k followers)

Mostly erotic, occasionally sappy poetry. Faudet’s book, Dirty Pretty Things, was a best-seller.
