1. IndiGo flier hurt as co-passenger accidentally deploys emergency chute

An IndiGo Airlines passenger was hurt on-board a Chandigarh-bound flight on Friday after a co-passenger inadvertently rolled out the aircraft’s emergency chutes, sparking a safety scare.

2. ST bus employees go on strike after worker succumbs to heart attack in Thane

State transport (ST) bus employees in Thane went on strike in protest against the death of the ST driver who succumbed to a heart attack after an altercation with an autorickshaw driver in Bhiwandi on Thursday. Not a single bus left the depot since 5.00 am on Friday.

3. 500kg Egyptian woman will arrive in Mumbai on Saturday for obesity surgery

Termed the ‘world’s heaviest woman’, 36-year-old Eman Abdellatif is slated to arrive in Mumbai in the wee hours of Saturday. She will fly here in specially-modified Egyptair freighter carrier Airbus 300-600 and then taken to Saifee Hospital, where a specialised facility has been set up, keeping in mind her unique treatment and surgery requirements.
