The Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) on Friday filed a 3,632-page charge sheet against five accused in the Parbhani ISIS module case.

The charge sheet includes conversation transcripts of the accused who were persuaded to join ISIS and also to carry out attacks in India.

The four accused, against whom the charge sheet was filed are – Naseen Bin alias Chaus, Shahid Khan, Iqbal Ahmed Kabir Ahmed and Raisuddin Siddique. The fifth accused, Farooq, who is an ISIS handler, is absconding.

Earlier, on July 14, the ATS arrested Chaus after the officers received a tip-off that he was radicalised and was planning to join the ISIS with the help of Farooq. However, during interrogation, the ATS learnt that Chaus wanted to bomb the police headquarters in Parbhani and Nanded during Ramzan.

According to the FIR registered by the central agency, Chaus was a sympathiser of the ISIS. The agency alleged he was in constant touch with Farooq, who also promised to supply pistols to India to execute the terror attack.

According to the case registered by the agency, Chaus had also obtained material to prepare improvised explosive devices to carry out bomb blasts during Ramzan. The complaint registered by the ATS revealed that during preliminary interrogation, Chaus also confessed to hatching the conspiracy to execute the blasts with the help of three others.

This led to the arrest of Khan, 24, an ITI dropout on July 24, and Ahmed, 28, who worked in a mobile phone shop, on August 7. The fourth accused Siddique, 37, a teacher from Hingoli, was arrested on August 8. Siddique was allegedly the commander in the Parbhani module.
