Maharashtra’s energy department will now find out why renowned singer Asha Bhosle is getting electricity bill ranging between Rs50,000 and Rs80,000 for her bungalow in Lonavla. State energy minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule asked Pune region chief engineer to probe after Mumbai legislator Ashish Shelar requested him to do the needful. The veteran singer has bungalow at Tungarli Road in Lonavla. Shelar said Bhosle had told him that she rarely stays at the bungalow, yet the electricity bills were in the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000, and suspected She suspected some foul play. Shelar wrote to Bawankule and met him to seek his intervention in the singer’s complaint. Bawankule promptly agreed to look into the matter, said Shelar.
