Fire at Reay Road, firemen fight to control flames

A major fire broke out at the Modi compound in Nariyalwadi, Reay Road, at 2pm on Friday.

Smoke from the fire has spread till the Eastern Freeway. The fire brigade has rushed in 9 fire engines and 6 water tankers to the spot.

According to the brigade, the fire broke out in the ground floor of a godown in an area of about 3,000 square feet. Firemen are still fighting to get the flames under control.
