Gold worth 2.8 crore found in aircraft toilet in Pune

In what is touted as one of the biggest seizures in the country, authorities in Pune found 10 huge gold bars in the rear toilet of a SpiceJet plane which landed from Dubai on early Wednesday.“We recovered 10 gold bars weighing 9.1 kilograms valued at Rs2.8 crore ,from a flight which had arrived at 4am from Dubai,” said K Shubhendra, deputy commissioner, Pune Customs.
