FYJC admissions: No seat in first round? Follow these 10 steps to fill your online form by July 18

Students who have not applied for first-year junior college (FYJC) admissions so far can fill the online form by 5pm on Tuesday.
The education department will keep the application link open, so students who are left out of the admission process can apply in the second round, which starts from Thursday.
All admissions to FYJC seats will happen through the online process this year, according to the Bombay high court orders.
Even for admissions to quota seats in in-house, minority, management quota, students need to sign up online. Those who don’t apply or register online will remain without a seat and stand to lose an academic year.
First-time applicants must fill both part 1 and 2 forms available on the admissions website. The log in ID is printed in admission manuals available in schools or guidance centres. Those who have already filled the forms can also change their preferences or stream .
Here are 10 easy steps to remember:
Students must fill part 1- registration form in which you have to enter personal details and marks. Part 2 requires you to select minimum 1 and maximum 10 college and list them in order of preference.
If you have already applied in the first round and want to change preferences now, you can do so by going to My Page, there under My Status, you will find Centralised Quota Choice Filling Status. Select the option ‘Fill or Edit Your Choices.’
Remember do not click on ‘print or register form’ option at this stage. If you do, your form will get permanently locked and you will not be able to make any changes to it in further rounds.
You will be directed to ‘Choices for Centralised’ page. Here you will see preferences which you filled in the first round. You can edit these preferences-enter new college options or change the order in which they are listed.
Save the changes after you make them. Click on ‘Ok’ and here you can choose to print the form. Second round allocation will be done according to your new preferences.
If you have filled registration form, but did not fill the option form in the earlier round, then go to the nearest guidance centres and get your part 1 registration form approved. Ensure it is not in pending status. Take a print out of the form.
After that go online, go to ‘my status’, click on part -2 registration and then enter your class 10 marks.
Then choose the stream and medium of instruction. This can be changed again in the third and fourth rounds
Click on confirm form and go to preferences page to fill in college options. Click on approve and save. Take a print out of the form for your reference.
Those who have already filled online form once should not try to create a new log in ID. Their seat number has been blocked. They can only make changes to their existing form.
