A signal failure delayed services in the Harbour line by 20 minutes on Saturday.

According to railway sources, the signal failure occurred between Tilak Nagar and Kurla stations on CST bound slow track around 11.45am. This led to trains bunching up and commuters were seen jumping off the train and walking to the next station.

A passenger told HT that her train was held up for about 20 minutes. “The trains were extremely crowded and the authorities were not making any announcement about the problem,” said the passenger.

CR spokesperson could not be reached for comments.
