History: The school was set up in 1952 by a group of parents who were dissatisfied with the prevalent schools in city. The founder members gave the school a constitution that forms the backbone of its functioning even today. Over time, the school has evolved and changed, but it has kept alive the core values with which it started.

Unique Features: The school maintains a high teacher-student ratio to ensure better learning and is run by a board of governors comprising representatives from the parent body as well as founder members. Parent committees also take on several support tasks like IT, kitchen, library, infrastructure, bus and finance.
