Those who have not got seats in the first round of first-year junior college (FYJC) admissions can fill the online form by 5pm on Tuesday.

While you have a second chance for the admissions, things may not get any better on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, where the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is removing loose soil and boulders from adjacent hills to prevent landslides and ensure safety of motorists.

On the one hand, the government of Maharashtra announced security to filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar in the wake of the criticism he has attracted for making his latest movie ‘Indu Sarkar’, while on the other it filed an affidavit in the Bombay high court on Monday, justifying actor Sanjay Dutt’s early release from Yerwada Jail.

Adding to the city’s Monday morning blues were heavy rain, waterlogged roads and traffic snarls.
