He is the resident of Mirza village of Sahranpur district in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.

The police are checking his background. He was apprehended by security guards and caught after a chase for few minutes. He was later handed over to the Pune police by Air Force officials. Zuber along with one Saiuddin Nasaruddin Ansari alias Sikku, 41, came to the officers’ mess to deliver bakery products by a Maruti van (MH 12 ML 6987). The guards noticed that Zuber was taking photographs and shooting video from the van. The guards became suspicious when the vehicle was not stopped despite instructions. After a few minutes’ chase, they were detained. Zuber took photographs and shot a video of a prohibited area, a preliminary inquiry by the Air Force revealed. API PB Kolte told HT that investigation found that Zuber was arrested for violating the Official Secrets Act.

Zuber told police that he took the photographs to share with friends to show them cleanliness on the campus. Sikku was released. The Pune police have also contacted their UP counterparts to know more about Zuber.
