Mumbai: Man arrested for raping colleague’s 13-year-old granddaughter in Andheri
The teenager told her grandmother that the man had raped her several times in the past.
The police on Monday arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly raping a 13-year-old repeatedly at his house in Andheri (West). He is now in police custody.
The accused worked with the teenager’s grandfather.
According to the DN Nagar police, the incident came to light on Sunday. As the girl was away from the home for too long, her grandmother went looking for her.
Seeing the girl coming out of the man’s home, the grandmother questioned her. The teenager told her grandmother that the man had raped her several times in the past.
The grandmother then filed a complaint with the the DN Nagar police.
A police officer from DN Nagar police station said, “The accused has confessed to his crime. He was produced before a sessions court on Monday.”
