Singer Yash Wadali was booked for allegedly molesting a woman at a birthday party in Goregaon (West) early on Wednesday.

Wadali’s friend was celebrating his birthday at Garden Estate apartment around 5 am. The woman and Wadali were invited to the celebration.

The woman told police that Wadali allegedly abused her while singing. “Wadali, who is a professional singer, abused her on the pretext of singing. He pulled her collar and molested her. We have not arrested him yet,” said Santosh Bhandare, senior inspector at Bangur Nagar police station.

Acting on the woman’s complaint, the police registered a case against under sections of the Indian Penal Code for molestation and intentional insult.
