A 42-year-old trader from APMC market, who was allegedly attacked with a chopper on Wednesday, died in MGM hospital in Vashi on Friday.

According to the police, the victim, Asish Dhorani, and the accused, Shankar Malusare, 33, got into a scuffle near Dhorani’s shop on Wednesday.

“Malusare had bought coconuts from Dhorani a few months ago, but he did not pay for it. When Dhorani asked for it that day, the two got into an argument. In a fit of rage, Malusare attacked Dhorani with a chopper,” said a police officer from APMC police station.
