Senior citizen found murdered at his Kandivli home in Mumbai

A 65-year-old man was found murdered at his residence in Kandivli (west) on Sunday night. The police said the body was decomposed as he had been dead for a few days.

According to the Kandivli police their control room late Sunday night received a phone call informing them about the murder incident in Pratik building on Mathuradas Road.

The police said a foul stench was emanating from the house which disturbed the residents. A police van was rushed to the spot. The deceased Devendra Doshi was found lying in his room with cut injuries on his neck.

The police have ascertained it to be a case of murder. They are trying to contact his relatives said the cops.

Police sources said Doshi used to live alone. The police are trying to find out if anything is missing from the residence which could mean that robbery was the motive behind the murder.
