A senior citizen who had been missing since Saturday from her south Mumbai home was reunited with her family on Wednesday. Geeta Chauhan, a mother of one, is currently at NM Joshi Marg police station.

“She was sitting in the verandah of our house on Saturday afternoon just as usual. Around 2.30pm I could not find her even though I looked everywhere,” Chauhan told HT.

The police found the elderly woman dressed in a red gown roaming the streets two days ago. Concerned, the police started talking to her and she was brought to the police station.

The police traced her family on Wednesday morning.

The NM Joshi Marg police contacted Chauhan. “Around 8.30am, the police called me and said they have found my mother. I am very thankful to the Mumbai police.” Chauhan said..
