The Borivli Government Railway Police (GRP), on Friday, nabbed a 14-year-old boy, who attacked a lady commuter with a nail file in an Andheri-bound fast local on September 20.

The boy was sent to the Dongri Remand home, from where he had been recently released. The incident took place around 10.50 pm when the complainant, Sunita Kalsariya, was going to her residence at Andheri after visiting a relative at Mira Road.

When the train reached Malad, the 14-year-old boy boarded the compartment where Kalsariya was seated alone.

He approached Kalsaryia on the pretext of selling some wares and attacked her when she refused to buy anything.

He took Rs 150 from her and snatched her cell phone before getting off when the train slowed down. No one else was present in the coach to help her.

The police managed to nab the 14-year-old boy from Elphinstone Road by tracking the IMEI number of the phone. The phone and nail file were recovered.
