No suicide notes were found from either spots, the police have said.

Reshma Dhotre, the 18-year-old girl from Mulund, allegedly committed suicide soon after hearing that her cousin brother — a 16-year-old from Thane — had accidentally fallen to death from the balcony of his building.

Dhotre’s father Kantilal told the police she had been depressed as she had not been keeping good health for a while. However, her parents said they don’t know why she ended her life, the police said.

Rupali Shinde, the 14-year old girl from Wagle Estate in Thane, allegedly killed herself after her mother scolded her saying that since she was physically weak because of asthma, she should concentrate more on studies to move ahead in life, the police said.
