The victim Sanchita Wahi, sustained minor injuries on her shoulder and hand as the branch fell on the rear portion of the taxi where she was sitting.

Wednesday’s episode is the third tree-falling incident to have taken place in the past one month. Two weeks later, five people, including two children, were injured after a tree collapsed on a chawl in Antop Hill.
In a survey conducted by the BMC earlier this month, it was found that he city has 226 dangerous trees. The civic body has promised to take immediate steps to strengthen the trees and to ensure they do not get uprooted.
