The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Maharashtra police arrested three government employees in 48 hours on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe.
In the first incident accused Yogita Dohale, working in deputy registrar’s office, was arrested while allegedly accepting the bribe of Rs 5,000 from a society’s manager.
According to ACB, Dohale had visited a co-operative housing society in Navi Mumbai for routine inspection. However later she allegedly demanded money and refused to issue an inspection report till the amount was paid.
The manager later approached ACB and lodged a complaint and then called up Dohale and agreed to pay the money. The ACB sleuths arrested her from near Bara Bangla area after she was caught redhanded while accepting the money.
