3 held for strangling friend

Three persons were arrested by the MRA Marg police on Friday for the murder of their friend whose body was found in the parking lot under JJ flyover near CST station on March 1.

Police said a constable met Pushpa Panchal, who had been searching for her brother Sachin, at a hospital. He took Pushpa to identify the body of the deceased whom she identified as Sachin.

“Mukaram Ali Khan, 22, Sakib Ghadiyali, 21, and Naeem Hussain, 20, befriended Sachin six months ago. Sachin, who ran an AC repairing business, was wealthier and always wore gold ornaments. On February 29, they took Sachin for a drive, strangled him and made away with the gold,” said Padmakar Juikar, senior inspector of MRA Marg police station. “The accused have confessed to the crime. They have been remanded in police custody till March 15.”
