The state government has said that 5% reservation would be given to the children of ex-defence personnel for admissions in medical colleges run by the municipal corporations.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting on Wednesday chaired by minister for ex-defence personnel welfare Mohammed Arif Naseem Khan. He said a 1984 government resolution already exists where 5% reservation is given to children of ex-defence personnel for admissions to medical colleges.
