A few exam paper bundles for Wednesday’s original final year Bachelor of Management Studies question papers appear to have been tampered with, university officials have found.
The probe into the leak of the International Finance paper began on Friday, with the three-member committee appointed to look into the leak beginning investigations.
Following a tip-off of a paper leak on Wednesday, university officials asked all colleges to send back the original question paper bundles for the BMS paper after replacing them with another question paper set. This was done to ascertain if any of the packets had been opened before the stipulated time. “A few had been opened, but I do not know any more,” said a senior university official.
The committee headed by ST Gadade, CKT College principal, and comprising former exam controller Prakash Wani and National College principal Dinesh Panjwani held a preliminary meeting on Friday. The committee is likely to get preliminary findings ready within two or three days.
“The patterns that are emerging are very disturbing,” said another university official.
Meanwhile, the university is on full alert, taking precautions to ensure that a leak is not repeated. Two papers have leaked this exam season; a final year Bachelor of Commerce had leaked at BNN College, Bhiwandi last month.
