The Mumbai university declared results of a section of the third year Bachelor of Science (TYBSc) examinations including geology, physics, mathematics and statistics, on Sunday.
University officials claimed that the results of the remaining TYBSc subject specialisations would be declared by the end of next week.
According to the results declared on Sunday, 42.29% of the 2,723 candidates, who wrote the exam in March, passed the final year examination. While 326 students obtained a first class, 643 secured a second class and 524 got a pass class.
“We will have to wait for the results of the remaining specialisations to judge the overall performance of TYBSc students,” said SM Suryavanshi, in-charge controller of examinations.
“Corrections of papers of the other courses including TYBCom, TYBA and vocational courses are going on simultaneously. The results will be declared soon after the TYBSc results,” said a university official.
