Students seeking admissions to the city’s junior colleges will be able to access the state government’s junior college admission website from May 16.
The online admission procedure was introduced two years back. The first year was marred by technical glitches and confusion. Last year, the admission process was smoother.
In an effort to ensure that the admission process goes on smoothly this year too, students were provided with admission booklets last week, teaching them the online procedure well in advance.
“No major changes have been made to the information on the website apart from the minimum number of college codes,” said NB Chavan, assistant director of education.
“This year, students will have to fill a minimum of 30 college codes, so as to ensure that there is no confusion between the online-offline admission procedures.”
The Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) is handling and developing the website.
