Reality show Bigg Boss 4 will continue to be aired at prime time on Colors channel because the Bombay High Court has extended the stay on the notice issued to it by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) to shift the timing of the show from the prime time slot of 9 pm to 11 pm.
Viacom 18 Media Private Limited had filed a writ petition through their lawyer Ameet and Vineet Naik against the notice.
Rui Rodrigues and Advait Sethna, counsels for the state informed the court that the ministry wants to file it reply giving all the details on the issue.
A division bench of Justice DK Deshmukh and Justice ND Deshpande has asked the ministry to file its reply before the next date of hearing on December 3.
The ministry had asked to shift the reality show away from the prime time slot because they felt the show offended “good taste and decency”.
The notice said the participants of the show are “often shown quarrelling in the programme and using abusive language”.
The notice had also asked the channel to modify the content of their show.
