A 23-year old died and his 21-year old friend suffered serious injuries after their bike was involved in a serious accident on the Lalbaug flyover in Lower Parel on Monday afternoon.

Police said Gautam Wagle and Ali Shaikh were rushed to JJ Hospital, following the accident, which happened around 2.15 pm on Monday. Wagle, a 23-year-old student, was riding pillion and was declared dead on admission at the hospital, while Shaikh, 21, who was riding the bike fractured his hand and is recuperating.
