The Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh targeted the BJP for keeping mum on former RSS chief K Sudarshan's statement that Congress president Sonia Gandhi was a CIA agent and about her alleged role in the killings of Indira and Rajiv Gandhi. "The BJP is a political wing of the RSS and they should also apologise for Sudarshan’s remarks," said Singh.

Singh, who was in Nagpur on Friday, added that the remarks made by Sudarshan only exposed the RSS’s culture of hate and fundamentalism. However, the Congress general secretary said imposing a ban on the RSS was not a solution.
