City residents heading towards south Mumbai on Monday morning may face a traffic snag.
Nearly 5 lakh activists of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) are expected to converge at the Azad Maidan on Monday as part of the “Mafia Sarkar Hatao” agitation.
All roads leading to the Maidan are expected to be affected between 11am to 3pm.
“We would request all citizens to start their journey half an hour earlier and to avoid crowded areas,” BJP state president Sudhir Mungattiwar said.
“Lakhs of activists and thousands of vehicles will be entering the city. This will cause traffic hardships. As we are taking up the public’s cause, the citizens should bear with us,” he said.
