Here’s your chance to help build a whole new world of books for the city’s street children.

Hindustan Times presents ‘Aviva The Great Wall of Education’, a book donation drive for underprivileged children that invites Mumbaiittes to donate their books for a good cause.

After spearheading successful book donation drives in New Delhi, the drive has now been activated in Mumbai through drop boxes placed at schools, corporate and residential apartments.

Children from more than 300 city schools including Bombay Scottish, Hiranandani Foundation, G.D Somani and Campion will donate their old textbooks, notebooks towards the cause.

Many individuals have also come forward and donated books for the underprivileged children.

The drive will culminate in a book wall being constructed at Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel, from December 2 to December 5 with all the books collected from the book donation drive.

The books from the wall will be used to educate underprivileged children, as part of the Aviva ‘Street to School’ initiative with The Hindustan Times, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan and Save the Children.

So go ahead and bring an underprivileged child closer to education by donating a book to the cause.
