The Dahisar police registered a case of house break-in against an unidentified person who made away with cash and valuables worth around Rs 4 lakh from a flat in Shivyog Cooperative Society, on Monday.

The incident took place at Sambhaji Nagar in Ashokvan, Dahisar east at around 5:30pm, when Atul Shah and his wife Surekha were away. "The robber made away with Rs50,000 in cash, and gold and silver ornaments," said a senior police officer from the Dahisar police station. "It appears that the robber was well aware of the couple's routine. We are enquiring with the residents of the building if they saw anyone suspicious," he added.
