The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday opened the printing press where the Navy was getting its question papers printed and found many application forms for another post.
The CBI, which had gone to search the press — Atharva Consultancy and Allied Services — at Sinhagad Road, near Pune, on Sunday, had sealed it after its owner BS Thakur died of heart attack. Thakur died while he was coming to meet the CBI team at his press. On Thursday, the CBI team found application forms for the post of mechanical fitter in the Navy.
A senior CBI official said the press got the contract to print the application forms through Ranbir Singh Rawat, owner of Mansa International Defence Recruitment Agency and DS Murthy, administrative officer of Eastern Naval Dockyard.
The two along with RC Naik, administrative officer of Western Naval Dockyard and Haryana-based teacher Hoshiyar Singh Rawat are in CBI custody.
It was at the press, where Ranbir copied the paper in a pen drive and made copies and leaked it to the candidates.
