Chavan will seek monetary help from the national disaster relief fund because the state does not have enough amount to disburse to farmers who have suffered crop loss of 50% or more.
The state has announced a relief package of Rs 1,000 crore, which is likely to increase by Rs 60 crore as per hectare compensation for paddy was increased at Wednesday’s cabinet meeting.
