Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavhan on Wednesday said coalition politics was a hurdle in bringing complete transparency into governance. “The dynamics of coalition politics mean that there are certain decisions that can’t be taken,” said chief minister Prithviraj Chavan at public interaction held at a book store in Vile Parle.
The chief minister’s statements are not likely to go down well with coalition partner which is already seething with what it sees as an attack on Sharad Pawar and the NCP. Chavan also reitierated his statement about the builder-politician nexus and said, “We need builders for the growth of Mumbai. Builders however also earn profits but within the purview of the legal framework.” HTC
