The Gorai police, investigating the case of a 30-year-old man who was found murdered at the Manori beach in Borivli (West) on Sunday, are in the process of questioning his relatives and friends for clues to the murder. The police are also retrieving call details of the deceased to locate his killers.

The police said Ramesh Nanaji Dedhia was bludgeoned to death and a case of murder against unidentified persons had been registered with Gorai police. They had recovered a knife and a dismantled cell phone close to the body.

"From his cell phone, we are trying to retrieve his location on Saturday night. Once call records are available, the investigation process will speed up," said Manik A. Bakhare, senior inspector of Gorai police station. Dedhia's post-mortem report, the police said, had not arrived.
