The mill owned by Shaktibhog Aata in MIDC area, Ambernath, was raided and nearly 500 bags of government-owned wheat — meant to benefit underprivileged families by rationing — were seized by the Shivajinagar police on Thursday.

While mill employees Ashphak Sheikh, 30, and Ram Hari Yadav, 28, have been arrested, two truck drivers and owner of the mill, Sunil Modi, are absconding.

Gautam Deshmukh, police inspector, Ambernath police, said, “On a tip-off by MNS activists, our team raided the place and seized 500 bags of wheat, with stamps of the Madhya Pradesh and Punjab government.”
