The sessions court on Wednesday rejected the bail applications of two terror suspects arrested on charges of conspiring to give shape to a series of sabotages at important locations in the city at the instance of their handlers in Pakistan.

The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested Beherampada resident Abdul Latif (29) and Dahisar resident Riyaz Ali (23) on March 14.

The ATS had said that the ONGC headquarters in Bandra, Mangaldas market in south Mumbai and Thakkar Mall in Borivili and other two places were their targets.

The court, while rejecting the bail application, observed that prima facie there was a case against them.

The duo was booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. They have also been booked under section 436 (Mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to destroy house etc) and 120 b (Criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
