MUMBAI: The Mumbai crime branch rescued two juvenile girls, who ran away from their homes after being pulled up by their parents, and arrested a 20-year-old man for sheltering them. The girls, 14 and 15, were found in the man’s Kalyan residence.
Officers said the girls were found 24 hours after they were reported missing on Tuesday and a complaint was registered with the Nirmal Nagar police station. “The girls’ parents told us they were in touch the man,” said an officer.

Though the girls claimed they went to the man’s residence on their own, he was booked for kidnapping as sheltering minor girls without informing police amounts to crime.
The probe also revealed that they were planning to leave Kalyan.
