Shree Ashtavinayak Productions, which has co-produced the Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg, on Monday filed a reply to the petition by an activist seeking the deletion of the word 'Hindustan' from the song 'Munni badnam hui'.

The production house in its reply, said the petition was filed with an "ulterior motive and deserves to be rejected".

The production house added that the word 'Hindustan' has not been used in a vulgar manner in the song.

In his petition Rajkumar Tak had said: "The vulgar item song shows one Munni dancing indecently surrounded by anti-social elements and one corrupt police officer who is in uniform. The song says 'Leh Hindustan hui darling tere liye'."

The case is likely to come up for hearing on September 3.
