If you have any complaint against the prepaid taxi service from Dadar booth, just dial 022-24140144. For, to address the grievances of the commuters and to make the service popular, the transport department has started a helpline at the Dadar booth.
The helpline for Dadar prepaid taxi stand became operational from Thursday evening. “The number is printed on the receipt issued to the commuters. If the commuter has any complaints, he can immediately call on the number,” said Madhukar Jadhav, regional transport officer, Tardeo.
The first prepaid taxi booth in the city came up at Mumbai Central in September and the second booth at Dadar was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The prepaid taxi booth at Mumbai Central too would soon get a similar helpline number, the authorities said. “All the formalities for the new phone connection are over. The number would be operational within a few days,” added Jadhav.
The commuter has to pay a fixed amount, depending on the distance, at the booth before boarding the taxi. The receipt that is issued displays the helpline numbers including the toll free number 1800220110, traffic helpline number 022-24937746 and the number of the booth.
“The prepaid services are getting very good response. We want to ensure better services,” said Jadhav.
Three more prepaid taxi booths will come up at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Bandra Terminus and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus soon.
