Dismissed encounter specialist Arun Borude, 51, who is absconding after being accused of raping a minor girl, has approached the Bombay High Court seeking anticipatory bail application claiming that he is being victimised.

Borude’s anticipatory bail was rejected by the sessions court on November 24. He has expressed willingness to face CBI or state CID investigation claiming that police is likely to be influenced by media reports.

Borude's advocate Naveen Chomal said the application is likely to come up for hearing on Friday. His application states: "The applicant (Borude) is being victimised due to his past meritorious service by unhappy elements from department and antisocial persons, who were subject matter of the prosecution, encounter deaths".

It also states that he was not aware of co-accused Shanta Gaikwad’s profession.
